Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

1. Purpose
Medicore Ambulance UK is committed to conducting all of its business activities with integrity and transparency. We are opposed to all forms of modern slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking, and we are committed to ensuring that these practices have no place in our operations or supply chains.
This policy sets out our responsibilities, in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and defines the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:

All employees, officers, and contractors of Medicore Ambulance UK.

All suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners providing goods or services.

All operations within the United Kingdom and any international supply chain connected to our work.

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings.

We expect the same high standards from all those we work with, and we will not knowingly work with organisations or individuals involved in slavery or trafficking.
4. Responsibilities
Management Responsibilities

Ensure that risks of modern slavery are considered when engaging suppliers and partners.

Maintain due diligence processes for supply chains, especially for higher-risk areas (e.g., uniform and equipment suppliers, subcontracted labour).

Provide training and awareness for relevant staff.
Employee Responsibilities

Report any concerns related to modern slavery through the appropriate channels.

Familiarise themselves with this policy and comply with its principles in daily work.
5. Supply Chains and Due Diligence
Medicore Ambulance UK works with a range of suppliers in the UK and abroad. To reduce risk we:

Assess suppliers for ethical, legal, and labour practices.

Require contractual commitments from suppliers to comply with anti-slavery legislation.

Reserve the right to terminate relationships with suppliers who breach this policy.
6. Training and Awareness

Staff involved in procurement, HR, and operations will receive training to identify and address risks of modern slavery.

Awareness will be raised among all employees to ensure they understand how to recognise and report concerns.
7. Reporting Concerns

Employees, contractors, and third parties are encouraged to report any suspicions of modern slavery in our business or supply chains.

Reports can be made confidentially to management or via our whistleblowing procedure.

All reports will be investigated, and appropriate action taken.
8. Compliance and Monitoring

We will regularly review our operations and supply chains for potential risks.

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as required to ensure ongoing compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
9. Board Approval
This policy has been approved by the Director of Medicore Ambulance UK and is supported at the highest level of the organisation.
