Modern Slavery

Modern Slavery Statement – Medicore Ambulance UK

a. Organisation Structure, Business and Supply Chains

Medicore Ambulance UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of Medicore Medical Services Ltd (Ireland). The company provides ambulance transport, event medical cover, and pre-hospital care services across the United Kingdom.
We operate a fleet of emergency and patient transport ambulances and employ clinical and support staff across the UK.
Our supply chains include the procurement of medical equipment, consumables, uniforms, and vehicle-related services, sourced primarily from UK-based suppliers and selected EU partners.

b. Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking

Medicore Ambulance UK has a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy that sets out our zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking.
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships and to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or exploitation in any part of our operations or supply chains.

c. Due Diligence Processes

We carry out due diligence checks on key suppliers to ensure compliance with UK employment, labour, and ethical standards.
Contracts with suppliers include clauses requiring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the right to terminate relationships where breaches are identified.
Where appropriate, we prioritise suppliers holding recognised certifications or public sector compliance credentials.

d. Risk Areas and Risk Management

The overall risk of modern slavery in our direct operations is low. However, we recognise higher potential risk within international supply chains for items such as uniforms, consumables, and vehicle parts.
We manage these risks by sourcing from reputable UK and EU distributors, maintaining traceability, and conducting periodic reviews of supplier practices.

e. Effectiveness and Performance Indicators

We measure effectiveness through:

  • Supplier pre-qualification and compliance checks.

  • Absence of any reported or identified incidents of modern slavery.

  • Annual review of our policy and supplier contracts.
These indicators confirm that our controls remain proportionate and effective for the scale of our operations.

f. Training and Capacity Building

Relevant staff in procurement, HR, and operations receive training and guidance on identifying and reporting risks of modern slavery.
All employees are made aware of our ethical expectations through induction and ongoing communications, including access to our whistleblowing procedure for confidential reporting.
